The Jacobs approach to developing apprentices focuses upon:

Assigning a senior employee, within the relevant industry, as a mentor to the apprentice. The mentor will provide experience from the industry and will be able to answer any questions regarding technical delivery or career progression.

Developing professional development plans with the apprentice.

Agreeing and committing to the training required to satisfy the development plan. This may include attendance at Jacobs’ Future Weekend initiatives, classroom training, virtual training and “lunch and learns”.
